Reporting to the board, the Executive Director will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for Maria Droste Counseling Center’s staff, programs, expansion, and execution of its mission.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership and Management
Ensuring ongoing excellence of services and operations, oversight of KPI development, tracking, and evaluation, and consistent quality of finance and administration, fundraising, communications, and systems; recommend timelines and resources needed to achieve strategic goals.
Actively engage and energize Agency volunteers, board members, event committees, alumni, partnering organizations, and funders, in collaboration with relevant directors.
Develop, maintain, and support a strong and diverse Board of Directors; serve as ex-officio of each committee; seek and build board involvement with strategic direction
Lead, coach, develop, and retain Agency’s directors
Ensure effective systems to track scaling progress, and regularly evaluate program components with relevant directors, to ensure adequate KPI tracking and data collection; communicate information to the Board, funders, and other constituents.
Fundraising and Communications
Ensure expansion of revenue generating and fundraising activities to support program operations.
Deepen and refine all aspects of communications, using external presence and relationships to garner new opportunities.
Ensure fundraising responsibilities of the Board of Directors are consistently demonstrated.
Planning and New Business
Execute the strategic business plan with Leadership Team
Be an external presence that publishes and communicates program results with an emphasis on the Agency’s mission, reach, and impact.
Required Background, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Minimum of 5 years of successful senior management experience in similar‐sized (or larger organization), including supervision of professionals
Specific experience in mental health/behavioral health highly preferred
Degree in nonprofit or public health management, business, social work, psychology or related area preferred
All candidates should have proven track record in: 1) Managing a substantial budget ($3M) with full accountability for results. 2) Leadership, coaching, and relationship management. 3) Effective scaling of a performance-and-outcomes based organization and staff; ability to point to specific examples of having developed and operationalized strategies that have taken an organization to the next stage of growth. 4) Achieving strategic and operational objectives in an organization. 5) Developing effective strategic partnerships and community relationships. 6) Fundraising with major donors, foundations, government grants. 7) Managing a diverse Board of Directors.

Compensation and Benefits
$100,000 - $120,000, commensurate with experience
